Career Perspectives with a PhD in Natural & Life Sciences // 14 Dec, 5 – 6 pm   Looking for career options after your doctorate? And not sure what is “out there”? With the series "Career Perspectives with a PhD in Natural and Life Sciences", we would like to offer an opportunity for interactive and informal exchange about career-related topics. You will meet former PhD candidates who will share with you their experiences including ups and downs looking for a job. PhD holders from academia, industry, science communication, politics, public and health sectors, education and more will show you the broad range of potential careers after a doctorate and give you inspiration for future career choices. We will have plenty of time after each talk for questions, discussion and networking.   In December, Dr. Richard Wundrack, who is an alumnus of the Institute of Psychology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, will be our guest. He currently works as Teamlead Research, Analytics and Development at krisenchat gGmbH.   All information and the meeting link can be found here.

Workshop on One Health and antimicrobial resistance: role of antibiotics, antimicrobial peptides and biocides // 29 – 30 Jan   The workshop is designed to provide natural scientists with a thorough comprehension of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) within the realms of One Health research. It is funded by Una Europa, an alliance of 11 European universities. The event aims to promote cooperation within the Una-Europa network and to support early career scientists. There will be six sessions on One Health covering the topics human, animal and environmental health, biocide resistance, antibiotics resistance, and antimicrobial peptides resistance.
