FU-wide online survey about the handling of research data

We would like to invite you to take part in an FU-wide online survey about the handling of research data. The survey is conducted as part of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) project "Concept Development for Collaborative Research Data Management Services," which develops ideas for advancing and improving services for research data management (RDM) with attention to both site-specific and cross-institutional needs. In order to align these concepts closely with the requirements of research, we kindly ask for your feedback. All four partner institutions are conducting similar surveys at the same time.

What role does the management of your data play in your research practice? What needs and wishes do you have regarding research data management tools and services? Which aspects are particularly relevant for your research context?

The results of our survey will help the four BUA partners Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin to develop perspective joint research data management services.

  • The survey is open now and will run until 15.12.2021

Link to the survey: https://umfrage.hu-berlin.de/index.php/517594?lang=de

  • The survey takes approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete

The survey is aimed at all researchers at the university, amongst them employees in joint projects (e.g., Clusters of Excellence, Collaborative Research Centers), as well as to research support staff (e.g., technical staff). Participation is voluntary.

The survey is fully anonymized and it will not be possible to trace any answers back to you. The results will be published together with those of the other surveys conducted within the BUA.

Please share the link with your colleagues as to enable feedback from a variety of approaches, research contexts and departments.

Thank you for taking part!
