The BB3R Spring Schools are part of the mandatory course program on alternative test methods to animal experimentation within the graduate program BB3R.

This year the VI. BB3R Spring School is organized by the Freie Universität Berlin and takes place in Berlin Dahlem. The seminars are open to PhD students and Postdocs working in the field of 3R and to interested scientists.

Talk: “News about the new coronavirus” // 28 February 2020

Prof. Christian Drosten is director of the institute of Virology at the Charité University Medicine in Berlin. His major research topics are the epidemiology and ecology of coronaviruses, including SARS, MERS and the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which all cause respiratory infections of different lethality. The recent outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 in December 2019 in Wuhan, China resulted in infections of >74.000 people with >2000 death, with increasing numbers each day. Christian Drosten will talk about recent scientific results of SARS-CoV-2, its origin, infection cycle and possible therapy options for the human population.

Die NFUSION Life Science & Health Initiative lädt Sie zur nächsten Veranstaltung „Labor der Zukunft – Zukunft des Labors“ am 26. März um 18:00 Uhr ein.

Die Lebenswissenschaften haben sich rasant weiterentwickelt und stellen somit auch neue Anforderungen an ihre Labore. Wie werden die Labore der Zukunft aussehen? Wie viel Laborfläche wird noch gebraucht - wie viel wird sich in silico verlagern? Unsere WissenschaftlerInnen und Startups müssen sich heute schon auf diese neuen Entwicklungen vorbereiten. Wie wird die Laborarbeit in 10 Jahren aussehen und mit welchen konkreten Maßnahmen können die Zukunftsfähigkeit der WissenschaftlerInnen und Startups unterstützen?

Diese und weitere Fragen werden wir mit Dr. Stefan Jaroch, VP, Public Private Partnerships, R&D Open Innovation bei Bayer AG, Dr. Jens Hoffman von EPO Berlin-Buch GmbH, Dr. Christina Quensel, Geschäftsführerin Campus Berlin-Buch Gmbh und Dr. Marcel Quennet, Gründer von Quantum on Demand diskutieren, um verschiedene, mögliche Lösungsansätze aus verschiedenen Perspektiven zu finden. Nach Impulsvorträgen wird eine Podiumsdiskussion mit anschließenden Publikumsfragen stattfinden.

The HealthCapital Cluster Berlin and the Interest Group Biotechnology of the German Association of Research Based Pharmaceutical Companies (vfa bio) are looking to award the most captivating research pitches at this year´s BIONNALE 2020. 

The first six shortlist candidates win a professional pitch coaching  and have a chance to present their research project on stage in front of an international audience of hundreds of experts from academia and business at the BIONNALE 2020 evening reception.

The winners of our Speed Lecture Award will be rewarded with

From March 30 to 31, 2020, the Interdisciplinary Symposium for Women in MINT ISINA will take place for the seventh time at TU Chemnitz.

The event primarily serves the professional and interdisciplinary exchange between scientific and technical subjects. Top-class experts from science and business as well as young female scientists and students from the MINT fields can network with each other and build up promising cooperation.

Vom 30. bis 31. März 2020 findet an der Technischen Universität Chemnitz bereits zum siebten Mal das Interdisziplinäre Symposium für Frauen im MINT-Bereich ISINA statt.

Die Veranstaltung dient in erster Linie dem fachlichen und interdisziplinären Austausch zwischen den naturwissenschaftlichen und technischen Fächern. Hochkarätige Expertinnen aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft sowie Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und Studentinnen aus den MINT-Fachbereichen können sich miteinander vernetzen und vielversprechende Kooperationen aufbauen.

Mobilitätsstipendien nach Frankreich für wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs

Die Französischen Botschaft in Deutschland vergibt Mobilitätsstipendien für in Deutschland tätige Doktorand*innen, Post-Doktorand*innen und Nachwuchsforschende für einen Forschungsaufenthalt in einem Labor bzw. Forschungsinstitut in Frankreich. Gefördert wird ein Aufenthalt von maximal drei Monaten zwischen April und Dezember 2020.

Monatliche Förderung pauschal:

1.300 Euro, Doktorand*innen)

1.800 Euro (Post-Doktorand*innen)

2.300 Euro (Forscher*innen)
