Scientific workflows: Tools and tips / Online lecture series by Dr. Selina Baldauf | June 19, 4-5pm
In this lecture series we will explore a diverse range of topics, including R code quality and efficiency, reproducible document creation, version control with Git, literature management, and academic notetaking. You'll learn practical tips and tricks that can help you optimize your research workflow and increase your productivity.
We will meet online on the 3rd Thursday of every month during the lecture period for one hour and you are welcome to join.

BCP Department Summer Festival | July 17
We would like to cordially invite you to this year's BCP Department Summer Festival.
This year, Prof. Dr. Sarkar and Prof. Dr. Pölloth from the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry will open the festival with their lectures. Following this, our department's student council initiatives will present their awards for excellent teaching, and the decentralized Women's and Equal Opportunities Officer will present the award for gender- and diversity-sensitive leadership.
We look forward to welcoming you to our program on Thursday, July 17, in the large lecture hall at Arnimallee 22 or on the meadow between Arnimallee 22 and Fabeckstr. 34/36.

Friday Light Talks | June 20, 5pm
Friday Light Talks is an initiative for Postdocs, PhD and master students to promote networking, discussion and ideas exchange in an informal environment.
Friday Light Talks started as a lecture series and networking platform for young researchers with a focus on physics. It is now open also for young researchers from other disciplines of Natural Sciences at FU Berlin.
Each event comprises a 20-30 min scientific presentation by a PhD or Postdoc followed by a discussion and a relaxed get-together with drinks. We are excited to have a space where all the research groups can get to know each other, and we are looking forward to meeting you all!

FU International Month | June 2025
“International Week” has been an annual staple of the academic calendar at Freie Universität Berlin since 2015. To mark the tenth anniversary of this much anticipated event, this year we are thinking big – “International Week” is now becoming “International Month.” Throughout the month of June, this year and in years to come, we will be organizing a wide range of events for students, researchers, and staff. Get inspired and learn about the exciting opportunities available to you as a member of Freie Universität!
Our motto is “Explore the world with us!” We will be hosting informational events that highlight opportunities for funding stays abroad, international projects, and programs available to researchers and other university staff members, as well as training events for those interested in exploring different aspects of internationalization, particularly in a university context.

Im Juni und Juli bieten die support.points im Rahmen der Mental Health Awareness Weeks vom 24.6-10.7.2025 eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen an.
Hierunter richten sich einige Veranstaltungen gezielt an Sie als Mitarbeitende, andere sind offen für alle FU-Angehörigen.
Speziell für Sie bieten wir diesen Sommer die Veranstaltungen „Achtsamkeit und Entspannung für Mitarbeitende“ am 24.6. und "Besser Schlafen" am 2.7. an, zu denen Sie ganz herzlich eingeladen sind.
Auch bei den Veranstaltungen zur Therapieplatzsuche (in Englisch am 24.6. und auf Deutsch am 10.7.) und zum emotionalen Umgang mit der Klimakrise (am 1.7.) sind Sie gerne willkommen. Bei diesen Veranstaltungen werden auch Studierende teilnehmen.

In June and July, our support.point psychologists offer a series of events during our Mental Health Awareness Weeks (June 24-July 10). This includes two German-language events for employees “Achtsamkeit und Entspannung für Mitarbeitende“ on June 24 and “Besser Schlafen“ on July, 7, to which you are warmly invited if you feel comfortable following German-language conversation. No registration necessary.
Additionally, you are very welcome to join our English-language events on how to find therapy in Berlin on June, 26. This event will be open to students as well.
