Grow your career! – Career Planning Intensive Course will be offered at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) in September/October. There are still places available, which can also be allocated externally. Further information about the course can be found below.
Grow your career! – Career Planning Intensive Course
When:
22 and 26 September, each from 1 – 3 pm; 6 and 13 October, each from 9 - 11 am
In between: self-study with support from the trainer for content-related questions, as well as guided group assignments between the webinar sessions; access to the online course for participants valid for 6 months.

Who: Doctoral researchers in at least their second year of doctoral studies, and postdocs

Course description:
The majority of people with a PhD does not stay in academia, but pursues careers in a variety of fields. There are many different career paths open to young scientists. However, it is often difficult for them to decide which path to take, or there is a lack of clarity about the requirements for a particular path. Young scientists often start their career planning by looking at job advertisements. But career planning is much more than that!
In this seminar you will actively explore the various facets of career planning: Together with the career coach you will examine your goals, values, and interests, analyse their skills, and discover interesting career options within and outside of academia. You will learn how to explore career options and expand their professional network. At the end of the course, you will create your own career development plan.
