Zisan will investigate the macromolecular conformation of dPGA polymers in carbonic acid solutions under high CO₂ pressure. She will also attempt to develop novel dPGA coatings by adsorption from these solutions onto various substrates for applications in neural cell growth. In her first few days, she has already attempted to obtain her initial atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of this polymeric system.
