Felix Weichert successfully defended his BSc thesis!
News from Apr 17, 2025
On April 8th, Mr. Felix Weichert successfully defended his bachelor thesis. Within the limited time allocated for the project, he managed to initiate and significantly advance a new research topic for the group.
His work revealed that HMGB1–RAGE interactions can be effectively studied using continuous-wave EPR, and that local molecular changes in the HMGB1 protein during these interactions do not depend on whether RAGE is in its self-associated or monomeric form. In contrast, the absence of the negatively charged C-terminal tail was shown to affect the strength of their interaction. And this is only the beginning...
We sincerely appreciate your efforts and foresee a promising scientific journey ahead of you!
