The combination of fundamental molecular spectroscopy methods with the design of new "green" biomaterials is applied in our group to a wide range of biological and biopolymer systems. Our research interests cover biopolymer modification, creation of protective coatings and functional hydrogels with antimicrobial nanoparticles, drug micronisation and formation of highly-porous drug-delivery systems in green biocompatible solutions, containing CO2 under high pressure. On the other hand, the fundamental understanding of the processes, laying behind the functionalities of bio-systems, is of our great interest as well. We dive into the molecular-level sensitive investigation of biomacromolecular systems, using the molecular spectroscopy techniques, that allow one to put a tiny reporter of the system dynamics in any chosen place.
