BMP/TGF-β signaling maintains vascular integrity by integrating biochemical and mechanical cues to regulate endothelial functions, junction stability, and vessel remodeling. In the Knaus lab, we combine molecular, cellular, and biomechanical approaches to decipher how flow and ligand-specific signaling control vascular homeostasis through receptors such as ALK1 and Endoglin, and how their dysregulation contributes to diseases like HHT and PAH.
