Physical Chemistry with Focus on Spectroscopy
Address
Arnimallee 2214915 Berlin
The work group deals with novel functional materials, in particular with thin films of nanoporous metal-organic frameworks, and their physicochemical properties. State-of-the-art spectroscopy techniques are used to enhance the understanding of interactions at the molecular level. The focus is on diffusion and adsorption of guest molecules in the pores, ionic conductivity and (opto-) electronic properties of these functional films as well as their applications, e.g. for molecular separation and as unique sensors. “Smart” materials with remotely controllable properties, in particular by light, are also produced and researched.
