The September issue of Nachrichten der Chemie features an article by us about the aggregation of proteins, which can lead to neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Current challenges in the investigation of such protein aggregates as well as our work that aims to unravel some secrets about the formation of early oligomers are described.
