In the modules of the Master's program in chemistry, you may take the module examination a maximum of four times.

If you do not pass on the fourth attempt, you have definitively failed the module. Due to the large number of elective courses, this is usually not that big of a problem, since you simply can take a different course.

But: It is very unlikely that it will ever come to this at all :-)
