The study program defines the possible forms of examination. In many cases, the examination is a standard written exam. Sometimes, oral exams or other forms of examination substitutes, e.g. a presentation, are possible.

If various options are possible, the lecturer may decide which one to use. (Ideally, they discuss that with students.)
