8. Catalytic Photoinduced Intramolecular Decarboxylative and Desulfonylative sp3 Allylation Enabled by Sulfinate Salts

A photoinduced intramolecular decarboxylative and desulfonylative sp3 allylation of allyl esters or sulfones enabled by simple, yet available, sulfinate catalysts is described herein. This technique complements classical protocols based on noble Pd catalysts and also facilitates rapid and reliable access to molecular architectures of utmost relevance in medicinal chemistry.
