The Office for Teaching and Study Quality at Freie Universität regularly surveys students on the conditions of study, their study behaviour and the quality of teaching, counselling and service. The surveys are regulated in the evaluation guidelines of Freie Universität. The aim is to continuously improve study programs and services. If the sample is large enough, the results are presented at the level of individual degree programs.
At the Department of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, various committees then discuss measures. The procedure is based on the process description "Evaluating Teaching". Further information and university-wide reports on the results can be found on the website of the Office for Teaching and Study Quality.

This nationwide questionnaire is directed at former students who completed their studies during a specific period. Participants are asked whether they are working or studying, how their job search is going/went, what their current employment conditions are like, and, looking back, how they would evaluate their studies.
The survey is carried out two years after students have graduated, and a reevaluation takes place four to five years after students have completed their studies. The survey is carried out by the International Center for Higher Education Research Kassel (INCHER). Freie Universität Berlin has taken part in the Kooperationsprojekt Absolventenstudien (KOAB) joint graduate survey project since 2008.
The survey of students who graduated in 2019 is still underway. You can access the questionnaire here.

These questionnaires are aimed at students who have either changed their degree program or university, or have dropped out of university altogether. Participants are asked for subjective reasons as to why they changed university or dropped out. The aim of this is to provide students with better information, advice, and support during and after their studies.

Following the summer semester of 2020, where teaching and learning largely took place online, this university-wide survey for both students and instructors aims to illustrate how digital teaching can be improved for both groups. The questions were developed by representatives from the Unit for Teaching and Education in cooperation with CeDiS.
