Here you can find information about time and possible content of the consultation hour of the local women’s representative and gender equality officer of the department biology, chemistry, pharmacy.


Office and consultation hours

The local women’s representative and gender equality officer welcomes you every time she’s at her office:


Mondays: 8:00 till 09:30
Tuesdays – Thursdays: 13:00 till 15:00
Fridays: 8:00 till 12:00
As well as appointments made in advance e.g. by email.


If not indicated another way (in the internet or at the door of the office) the appointments take place regularly. Either the local women’s representative and gender equality officer is present or her substitute or both are present.
All enquiries will be treated confidentially, if you stop by in person, you call or if you mail us.


Possibilities of deliberation

During the office hours, you’ve got the possibility to get advice for various cases. The following list shows you the possibilities. If you’re not sure that the local women’s representative and gender equality officer can help you along, just call or write a mail in advance.


Possibilities of promotion

The local women’s representative and gender equality officer advises you concerning department internal promotion possibilities, application and settlement for it.
Apart you can look through a file with a collection of external promotion possibilities from e. g. foundations for the different education status.


Sexual harassment and discrimination

In case of verbal or nonverbal sexualised discrimination, harassment or violence you can and should turn to a person you trust of your choice. This can be someone who’s part of the staff council, we, the chief gender equality officer or the one of your department. Obviously, every person involved by you is bound to secrecy and just can take measures according to agreements with the person hit.
It is in our all interest and responsibility, that everybody can move freely without fear and attacks on their sexual self-determination at the university, so that they can work, study and live unimpeded.
The local women’s representative and gender equality officer acts according to the guideline of dealing with sexualised discrimination and violence of the Free University of Berlin (German version only) from March 2015 and opens possibilities of action for the person hit.


Conflicts at the work place

In case of conflict, person hit have the possibility to get advice from the administration control, the staff council or we, the local women’s representative and gender equality officer.
