We here in the Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy put great emphasis on lectures and courses of good quality to prepare students in the best way possible for their exams and upcoming job career.

Therefore, every year, the students of biochemistry, biology, chemistry and pharmacy award the Award for Excellence in Teaching (Preis für gute Lehre) to particularly committed lecturers. The prize was established by the department to promote good teaching.

All students have the opportunity to nominate lecturers in their subject for the award. The student councils organize a survey among the students and then choose the winner based on the nominations.
