At Hauptbahnhof take the S-Bahn S7 for Wannsee or Potsdam, or the S9 for Spandau, or the S75 for Westkreuz.
Change at Zoologischer Garten to the underground U9 for Rathaus Steglitz.
Change at Spichernstraße to U3 for Krumme Lanke.
Exit at Podbielskiallee.
Leave the station and cross Podbielskiallee at the traffic lights to your left.

At Südkreuz take the S-Bahn S41 Ring , for Schöneberg, or the S46 for Westend.

Leave the station and cross Podbielskiallee at the traffic lights to your left.
Walk straight ahead into Schorlemerallee and turn left at the second street, the Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.

At Gesundbrunnen take the S-Bahn S42 Ring .
Change at Heidelberger Platz to the underground line U3 for Krumme Lanke.
Exit at Podbielskiallee.
Leave the station and cross Podbielskiallee at the traffic lights to your left.
Walk straight ahead into Schorlemerallee and turn left at the second street, the Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.
Walk through the gate and across the gate houses.

Stay at the “Berlin Ring” (A10) until you reach “Dreieck Nuthetal”, and take the A115 to Berlin.
Leave the A115 at the exit “Zehlendorf” and follow the signs to Steglitz.
Turn left after about 2 km into the Lindenthaler Allee following the signs to Charlottenburg and Wilmersdorf.
Go straight ahead for the next 7 km via Argentinische Allee, Saargemünder Straße, Brümmerstraße, and Archivstraße until you pass a big egg to the right.
Make a u-turn at the second interruption of the dividing strip and turn right at the first street into Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.
Go ahead through the gate and across the gate houses.

Traveling from exit Zehlendorf to the institute takes about ½ hours!

By car from the southeast (Dresden, Frankfurt/Oder)

Map

Take at Schönefelder Kreuz the die A113 to Berlin.
Keep left at Dreieck Neukölln to change to A100 following the signs to Tempelhof, Charlottenburg, Wedding.
Take the exit Wexstraße (Nr. 16) and turn left at the second traffic lights following the sign to Steglitz into Bundesallee.
Turn right after the tunnel into Südwestkorso.
Go straight ahead until you pass the motorway underpass at Breitenbachplatz.
Count the streets branching to the right from then, and turn right into the third street, which is Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.
Go ahead through the gate and across the gate houses.

Depending on traffic, traveling from Schönefelder Kreuz to the institute takes ½ to ¾ hours!

By car from the north (Hamburg, Rostock, Stettin)

Map

Stay at the “Berlin Ring” (A10) until you reach “Kreuz Oranienburg”, and take the A111 to Berlin.
Follow the signs to Charlottenburg, which will take you to A100. Stay on the A100 at the “Dreieck Funkturm” following the signs to Wilmersdorf. Change at the “Kreuz Wilmersdorf” to A104 following the signs to Schmargendorf.
Leave the motorway at the exit “Breitenbachplatz” and turn right at the second traffic lights into Breitenbachplatz.
Pass the next traffic lights and go straight ahead into Schorlemerallee.
Turn right at the red brick buildings into Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.
Go ahead through the gate and across the gate houses.
The Applied Genetics is located in the first group of buildings at the right hand side.
Depending on traffic, traveling from Kreuz Oranienburg to the institute may take ½ to 1¼ hours!

Via Berlin-Tegel airport (TXL)

Please notice that flight operation at Tegel airport ceases with the opening of Berlin-Brandenburg International airport (BER)!

Take the bus line X9 or 109 in front of the airport.
Leave the bus at “Jakob-Kaiser-Platz” and change to the underground line U7, direction “Rudow”.
Leave the U7 at “Fehrbelliner Platz” and change to the underground line U3, direction “Krumme Lanke”.
Leave the U3 at the station “Podbielskiallee”.
Cross Podbielskiallee at the traffic lights to your left.
Walk straight ahead into Schorlemerallee and turn left at the second street, the Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.
Walk through the gate and across the gate houses.

Follow the signs to the S-Bahn (round green sign with a white “S”); the S-Bahn station is located within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.
Take the S-Bahn line S45.
Change at “Heidelberger Platz” to the underground line U3, for “Krumme Lanke”.
Leave the U3 at the station “Podbielskiallee”.
Cross Podbielskiallee at the traffic lights to your left.
Walk straight ahead into Schorlemerallee and turn left at the second street, the Albrecht-Thaer-Weg.
