Course Catalog
The course catalog (in German: Vorlesungsverzeichnis, frequently used abbreviation: eVV) is the place where all courses are published. Sometimes it's a bit hard to find your way around there at the beginning, but after clicking around a few times it usually works. :)
It is important that you check the course catalog to find out which courses take place where and when. You should know this before you choose your courses. It will also depend on which courses you get a place for, but more about that later.
As you have already read on the pages about the course of studies, the courses to be taken in biology are largely predetermined (see also course of studies plans).
The course catalog is usually published in February for the summer semester and in July for the winter semester. This means that you can find out early on when you will be attending classes at the university and whether your practical courses will take place during the semester break.
On the following pages you will find some tips on how to find your way around the course catalog.
