My research mainly focuses on the metabolism of metandienone, which is widely misused in sports and prohibited by WADA. My work can be divided into 3 parts, including the investigation of metandienone A-ring reduction mechanism by enzyme incubation assay, in vivo study of metandienone metabolism in fish embryo, and in vitro metabolism study of metandienone and 5 other anabolic androgenic steroids (testosterone, methyltestosterone, 4-chlorotestosterone, 4-chlorometandienone, 4-chloromethyltestosterone) in skin cells. The metabolites were analyzed by LC-QTOF-MS/MS and GC-MS.
