With its new online series “Promotion im Dialog” (Doctoral Studies in Dialogue), the Dahlem Research School (DRS) invites all stakeholders involved in doctoral education at Freie Universität Berlin to participate in an open exchange. The series offers brief presentations as well as space for discussion and the exchange of experiences. The aim is to highlight key topics related to doctoral research, explore common ground, and strengthen networking among the participants.

The following topics are planned for the coming months:

• July 15, 2026, 1:00–2:00 p.m.: Presentation of the doctoral council’s survey “Budget Cuts – Impact on Doctoral Students”
• 23. September 2026, 12:00 - 1:00 p,m.: Onboarding of doctoral students
• 22. October 2026, 1:00-2:00 p.m.: Research data management and Research Ethics

Suggestions for additional topics are always welcome and can be submitted via the mailing list.
