Administration of Contracts for teaching assignments
The application and administration of teaching assignments are handled somewhat differently across the three institutes of the Department of Biology, Chemistry and Pharmacy (BCP).
Here you will find information for adjunct lecturers as well as details on remuneration for examinations (in German).
Under the headings below, you will find explanations of the application procedures and administrative processes in each institute, along with the relevant contacts and the appropriate forms.
Applications for teaching assignments at the Institute of Biology are submitted as part of the course planning process.
When the course planning documents are circulated (at the beginning of each semester for the following semester), the application deadline for teaching assignments is also announced.
Teaching assignments must be submitted by a faculty member in Biology on behalf of the adjunct lecturer and filed with the Office of Academic Affairs in Biology by the specified deadline.
As part of the approval of the course planning, teaching assignments are decided by the Institute Council (IR) and subsequently administered by the Office of Academic Affairs in Biology.
Payment for teaching assignments is handled by the Budget and Finance Office, Daniela Jäger (see section “Payment of Teaching Assignments”), and must therefore also be requested there.
Applications for teaching assignments at the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry are submitted as part of the course planning process.
Teaching assignments must be submitted by a faculty member in Chemistry or Biochemistry on behalf of the adjunct lecturer. In Chemistry, applications are submitted directly to the Managing Director (GD), while in Biochemistry they are forwarded to the GD via Ms. Jäger. This should be done no later than two weeks before the final Institute Council (IR) meeting of the preceding semester.
As part of the approval of the course planning, teaching assignments are decided at the final IR meeting of the preceding semester and are subsequently administered by the Office of Academic Affairs in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Payment for teaching assignments is handled by the Budget and Finance Office, Daniela Jäger (see section “Payment of Teaching Assignments”), and must therefore also be requested there.
Teaching assignments at the Institute of Pharmacy are granted in coordination with the faculty members of Pharmacy and the Managing Director as part of the course planning process. They are approved at the final Institute Council (IR) meeting of a semester for the following semester and are subsequently administered by Dr. Ursula Brümmer.
Payment for teaching assignments is handled by the Budget and Finance Office, Daniela Jäger (see section “Payment of Teaching Assignments”), and must therefore also be requested there.
All relevant information must be entered separately for each individual course on the application form (in German). This is necessary to ensure that the teaching assignment data can be correctly transferred into the administrative systems. If you wish to apply for multiple courses for one adjunct lecturer, an additional form for further courses is available.
