Relocations

Please designate a relocation coordinator from your team. 

The following rules apply to the relocation of offices and laboratories:

  • Users are responsible for packing their own items; for books and file folders, fill only the bottom of the box (due to heavy weight); laboratory glassware will be packed by the moving company.
  • Label boxes and furniture with the destination room number. Please leave cabinets and desks open and leave keys in the locks, if available.
  • Attach furniture layout diagrams to the window.

If libraries are moving, the books will be packed by the moving company. Staff members provide instructions and label the boxes with the destination.

Report any damage immediately (work order, etc.); please report damage not visible from the outside within 14 days.

After the move:

  • Please have electrical devices that are no longer in use removed from the inventory list (contact: Division II B 12 - Fixed Asset Accounting, Tel.: +49 30 838 590 41, Email: anlagenbuchhaltung@fu-berlin.de).
  • To arrange for the pickup of cardboard boxes that are no longer needed, please contact Ms. Heufelder.
  • Old and unusable furniture, other scrap, and electronic waste can be disposed of after prior approval of the disposal. Please contact the Special Waste Disposal Department for this.
  • FUB-IT’s jurisdiction within the department depends on the building. Please contact service@fu-berlin.de
