On September 9th, Ms. Seungeun Yeom presented her final report on the results of her three-month internship in our group, on the topic “Molecular patterns and interactions in mucus-like hydrogel systems elucidated by EPR spectroscopy."

She investigated the gelation of differently charged polymers by EPR spectroscopy and the effect of different polymer-conjugated spin labels length on the probed molecular differences. She also managed to succsessfully label naturally-derived mucin (purified from milk), which can be further used to investigate mucin-drug or mucin-protein interactions.
