On 27th of June Dr. Marina Pigaleva presented a talk entitled "Structural and Thermal Stability of HMGB1 protein: A thermodynamic analysis" on the IRTG2662 project Annual Meeting with Canadian collaborators.

In her presentation, she explained the new research directions of A1 sub-projects, planned for the next funding period. In particular, this sub-project will try to answer the following questions:

• Can we link perturbations in the internal proteinstructure to altered thermodynamic properties of the protein and, consequently, to changes in itsfunction?

• Can we study the binding behavior between proteins and polyelectrolytes and simultaneously get an idea about changes in stability and the possibility to increase the number of possible conformations for the protein?

• Can we draw conclusions about differences in proteins thermodynamic properties arising from their glycosylation?
