Initial consultation

To get started, contact the OM core unit team, to arrange an initial discussion (either remotely or on-site). Prepare a brief project description containing information on the project objective, the type of sample(s), and the intended use and type of equipment/microscopes.

Access and usage policy

The OM core unit is embedded in the core facility BioSupraMol and the research building SupraFAB. The OM core unit may be used by members of Freie Universität Berlin and by external academic and non‑academic parties. Usage regulations including the current usage fees can be downloaded from the BioSupraMol web page (bottom section); the SupraFAB house rules can be downloaded from the SupraFAB research infrastructure web page (bottom section). Instrument booking

For instrument booking as well as user and user group registration, we use the web-based platform OpenIris. For further information and usage instructions visit the BioSupraMol booking web page.

Data storage

ZIB (Zuse Institute Berlin) provides a centralized storage service for measurement data acquired in the OM core unit. For further information and instructions visit the BioSupraMol data storage web page
