Welcome to the website of the BioLab core unit in the SupraFAB research building (BioLabS) of the Department Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy (BCP) at Freie Universität Berlin. As multi-user laboratories, the BioLabS facilities are available to researchers and students in the departments BCP and Physics, as well as to academic and non-academic guests. The laboratories are equipped for a wide range of methods and techniques in the fields of protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and microscopy. As a Biosafety Level 2 facility, work with pathogens and genetic engineering projects up to Biosafety Level 2 can also be conducted. Moreover, the BioLabS share the S2 area with the Optical Microscopy core unit embedded in the core facility BioSupraMol.
