The BioLabS core unit is embedded in the core facility BioSupraMol and the research building SupraFAB. It is situated in the SupraFAB building Altensteinstr. 23a (14195 Berlin) with satellite locations in the department's institutes Takustr. 6, Thielallee 62, and Königin-Luise-Str. 12‑16.

The laboratories are equipped for a wide range of methods and techniques in the fields of protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and microscopy. As a Biosafety Level 2 facility, work with pathogens and genetic engineering projects up to Biosafety Level 2 can also be conducted here.
