Susanne did her Bachelor studies in Life Sciences at the University of Potsdam. Afterwards she joined the international Master program "Regenerative Biology and Medicine" in Dresden and received the Master degree with excellence. In September 2015 Susanne joined the Knaus lab. Her PhD project focuses on the characterization of the BMP receptor Alk2
in the context of the autosomal dominant disorder fybrodysplasia ossificans progressive (FOP).
