Dr. Miriam Bertazzon
Miriam was born in 1989 and grew up in Treviso (Italy). She studied in Padua and graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Techniques in December 2012. During her final year at University, she got fascinated by Applied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology grows through her specialization in Biotechnology. In her thesis, a 7-month Erasmus project conducted in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) with Prof. Eugenio Vázquez Sentis’ research team, she worked on the synthesis of metallopeptides in order to design probes able to bind to the DNA. In 2013 she then worked in VIMM Institute at Padua on circuit formation and function in the olfactory system.
