My research focuses on pathway function and the unique pharmacokinetics of exogenous peptides in insect hemolymph, using the Tenebrio molitor as an invertebrate model. Key immune genes are knocked down, followed by bacterial challenge and assays with exogenous antimicrobial peptides. This work aims to dissect the functional roles of AMP combinations during bacterial infection and establish a high-throughput in vivo model free from ethical constraints.
