At the moment my research is mainly about on Metandienone, a quite frequently used, though forbidden, doping compound in sports. It belongs to the group of anabolic androgenic steroids and right now I am focusing on its fully reduced metabolites. An administration study is carried out and will be evaluated in the future. In order to have the highest confidence in our findings I am synthesizing reference material for proposed metabolites. Not only are we hoping to improve doping analysis but also get a better insight in human metabolism of 17α-methyl steroids. For that I am mostly working with GC­-MS(/MS) and semipreparative HPLC‑UV.
