Microscopy

Direct imaging methods have become increasingly relevant for the structural analysis of biomacromolecular and supramolecular systems. Having both light and electron microscopic method in a central unit together makes it possible to extensively characterize structures on surfaces or in solution with a resolution range from micrometer down to nanometer scale. Additionally, topographic information on nano-objects on surfaces can be obtained by scanning force microscopic techniques (AFM).
