Marek Wieczorek studied Molecular Biology and Cell Biology. He received his PhD in Biochemistry in Mai 2015. During his PhD studies he was focusing on molecular aspects of multivalent interactions within the spliceosome as well as structural and dynamic properties of MHC class II proteins during peptide exchange. In his post-doctoral research he developed different protein-engineering techniques in order to visualize antigen-specific immune interactions. Another field of interest are interactions of different types of drugs with human MHC molecules and the consequences for the personal immune status.
