Research interests

Biological diversity and soil biota interactions are both well known to play a dominant role for
ecosystem functions. Functionally dissimilar soil organisms are increasingly studied and their
beneficial or detrimental impacts on ecosystem functions (e.g. plant productivity) are widely
recognized. Soil organisms have been found to drive the plant diversity-ecosystem functions
relationship at plant species level, while their effects on the relationship at the plant intraspecific
diversity level are poorly documented. My recent research interest is about the interactions of functionally dissimilar soil organisms and plant genotypic diversity on ecosystem functions (e.g. plant productivity, as well as the performance of plant mutualists and antagonists).
