The scientific objectives of our ecological immunology workshop are to discuss the genomics of non-model species, which are important in ecological contexts, and how functional molecular work in the field can be implemented in a more comprehensive view on selection exerted by microbes living in or on the host, thus considering pathogens as well as the role of commensals and mutualists. Further, we want to identify how ecological immunology can contribute to address current issues in managing insect cultures and aquaculture. We invite people from different fields such as evolutionary biology, microbiology, ecology, insect immunology, applied entomology and any other field that can make a contribution to the core objectives of this workshop to contribute. We will have a limited number of oral presentations (20 minutes plus 10 minutes discussion). Everybody not selected for an oral presentation will get the opportunity to display and discuss her/his project on a poster.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 20th March 2017. We will evaluate abstract submissions early March and notify people whether they get a talk or a poster by the end of March 2017.
The total number of attendees including invited speakers is limited to a 100 persons. All participants will be accommodated in double rooms, therefore please indicate a room partner on the registration form.
The deadline for early bird registration is 28th February 2017 and for late registration 31st March 2017
